Black Suede and Bakelite Minaudiere from the 1930’s.
\nCompletely outfitted as a vanity case with compartments for every need (from that period).
\nThe borders of the metal frame and clasp are decorated with hand decorated bakelite clad metal
\nfloral designs. Hot metal is cased around a bakelite base and then is further decorated with incised or raised decorations. This technique is used mainly on jewelry but is used here to great effect.
\nBlack suede front and back. 1930’s USA.
\nExcellent condition.
