Vintage Design
Attractive small sized chest of drawers by Pastoe, model NE01. Funny tapered legs that strongly reminds of 1930ies ‘Amsterdamse School’ movement. All parts are inspected, minor repairs, all is solid and this item can be used right away. Manufacturers ( partly ) sign at the back. This piece evokes an appealing European modernist atmosphere, inspired by the work of Rietveld and Charlotte Perriand.
In the early days of his career, Cees Braakman went to the US and was inspired by the modernist designs introduced by Herman Miller and Knoll.
