Vintage Design
Hans Wegner desk model AT325 for Andreas Tuck, Denmark.
This is an oak desk and we had it completely renovated by a furniture restorer and this desk is now in new condition. A beautiful design by Hans Wegner and made by the well-known Andreas Tuck in the 1960s.
Large and impressive desk made with quality construction and attention to detail, refinished and ready to enjoy.
Hans J. Wegner’s collaboration with Andreas Tuck produced some of his most innovative designs in desks and tables. This rare desk, designed in the 1960s. There is a forward-looking sleekness in this design – a simplicity of structure and a bold confidence in the sober use of materials – no decorative gestures, a structural minimalism dictates this design. We can also see a sophisticated assimilation of international design trends by Wegner, trends that began to favor designs that were less dogmatically “natural” in their treatment and combination of materials – designs that celebrated contrast and visual dynamism over a national or regional craft tradition.
