19th Century Indian armchairs 19th Century Indian set of two armchairs, richly hand-carved. The coconut wooden chairs have beautiful scenes of Buddhist Gods, animals and floral decor. On top of the chairs figures of Sadhu, The backrest with floral pattern and the Gods Shiva and Krishna. One chair also has the Gods Vishnu Matsya and Krishna at the top of the backrest. The armrests are different. A chair has carvings of crocodiles on the armrest. The other with a floral pattern and elephant heads cut out. The legs of the chairs are carved lion heads. The backs of the chairs have a scene of coconut trees. The seats has leather upholstery The measurements are 121 cm high (113 cm high) Both are 68 cm wide. The depth is 62 cm and 58 cm. Seat height is 40 cm and 38 cm The weight of each chair is approx. 24 kilos (48 kilos in total)
