Vintage Design
A set of two beautifully refurbished Art Deco armchairs by Thonet (no identification mark on the pieces). The design features streamlined curved armrests which dominate the design (reminiscent of J. Halabala’s style). During the restoration the beech wood frame has been hand polished and the armchairs have been re-upholstered with an ikat-effect designer fabric with funky parrots and jungle leaves, thus giving them a fresh, modern appearance. Produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1930-40s.
