Vintage 1920’s gold silk lamé floral evening bag beaded handbag Art deco lamé

The rounded gold toned metal frame of the bag, is accented by carved floral designs, which sets off the central pull toggle and press down button clasp. The frame is finished with gold loops, which join the twisted gold lamé thread handle to the bag. The bag opens to a gold rayon lining with a large central compartment and a small side pocket.

Condition: In wonderful vintage condition, with general tarnishing to the frame and metal features. Light and natural tarnishing to the gold lamé silk throughout. Surface wear to some of the pearlescent beads. Light and natural wear to the glass cabin, with a very few small chips to the glass. Tarnishing and gentle wear to the twisted lamé thread handle. A small cluster of micro beads missing from the centre of one of the glass flowers. These minor details are not apparent when the bag is being worn or used.
